Here is an Informative Review of
Joana's Horde Leveling Guide

This page is all about Joana's leveling guide. If you are playing as horde?, then this guide can help you out a lot. It contains three leveling guides. It's the standard 1 - 60 horde leveling guide, the 60 - 70 horde outland leveling guide and the 1 - 25 blood elf leveling guide.

On this page you will find information on all three of those guides. I have text, photos and videos waiting for you..

First, some info about Joana. Who is he? or she?

Joana is a 27 year old male from Ohio in USA. Joana has set a bunch of records when it comes to speed leveling wow characters.

He has the current record of leveling a character 1 to 60 on a new server in exactly 4 days 20 hours 49 minutes and 49 seconds. Joana has also won blizzards 1 to 50 race when it was held.

The next goal for Joana is to make an attempt on a 1 to 70 speed run. There is much fuzz about this right now, as Joana has updated his guide to the 2.3 patch with a step by step outland guide. It's the same guide he will follow when he makes the 1 to 70 attempt.

Now, lets begin with the review of joana's wow leveling guide.

We start with the standard 1 - 60 horde leveling guide.

First of all, Joana's guide is simple and very easy to understand. (It the same with all of his guides.) Lets see if I can give you a screenshot on how the starting screen of this guide looks like..

OK, here we go.

As you can see on the picture above, the leveling guide is divided into different areas depending on which level you are on. It's very easy to just "jump on the train". Lets say you are at lvl 30 and leveling is boring and takes forever, then just click on the link that says "30-30 Alterac Mountains" and you will begin following Joana's guide from level 30 and you'll be doing quests in Alterac Mountains.

I think this is good. I have jumped on with many characters and it works very good. So, you don't have to follow this guide 24/7, 365 days a year. No, you can use it when you feel like it and then put it aside for a while and do some instances.

Joana's guide is saved as a html page. It means that you will read this guide through your internet browser. (No, you don't have to be connected to the Internet to read.)

Now, lets look on how Joana has structured all the information about the different quests. I have taken a screenshot of the level 1 page. This is the first page you will look at if you are about to level up a lvl 1 character.

If you take a look at the photo above, you will see that you will follow different action points. In this picture you can see 22 action points (From 1 to 22). I couldn't fit every action point in the screenshot, only about half of them.

To more easily know where the different action point locations are located, you will have maps to aid you.The maps have small numbers where the different quests are located.

I think that the setup of this guide is very nice and comfortable. It's easy on my eyes and I can easily find where a quest is located and where i'm heading next. Soo a big thumbs up for that! (It turns out that almost every leveling guide has this approach now).

OK there is one more thing that makes Joana's guide a little more attractive, and it's that Joana got videos. Yep, he will show you by himself how to slay difficult bosses and complete hard quests. (Joana plays as a troll hunter in every video, there is a lot to learn from him still).

I had much thought about posting one of his videos here. However I found out that he had posted this video on a free video network, similar to youtube. I guess it would be OK to show you because everyone is allowed to see it.

I'm going to try embed this video here on the site. I had to install a flash video player to be able to see it but I think you don't have to.

Now, the video shows you how to take out "Zalazane". It's a mini boss located on echo islands outside Sen'jin Village (close to Orgrimmar).

Anyway, this boss can be a little tricky because he can heal himself and he hits pretty hard.

Enough talk! here is the video.

Did you like the video? It's one of many videos Joana has made. He has made quite a few of these little mini-videos, were he explains how to do it.

My closing thoughts on this 1 - 60 guide is that it's very solid. It has good info, it's well structurated and it's very easy to comprehend. You can follow this guide very smoothly.

Joana's 60 - 70 Horde "Step by Step" Outland Guide

This guide is a result of Joana's newest update. Joana have recently updated all of his guides to the 2.3 patch and this "step by step" outland guide is new.

This 60 - 70 guide looks very simillar to the 1 - 60 guide. The difference is that the 60 - 70 guide has slightly more information about each step. I also see better quality on the images. (Much better resolution).

I have posted a screenshot on this guide as well. Take a look below.

The photo above is from a sector in Outland called Thrallmar. You will visit this area when you are lvl 60 - 61. As you can see from the picture above, it looks much like the 1 - 60 guide. It has the same structure but with a little more information on each action point.

Now, this guide has some videos too.

I decided to post a video in were Joana shares one of his favourite grinding spots in outland. Check it out..

Pretty cool huh? I don't know exactly were this place is.. But a well educated guess is that it's located at Legion Hold in Shadowmoon Valley in Outland.

This 60 to 70 guide is full of little gold nuggets like that. I really like this guide, it's so full of useful tips that saves time and earns you a lot more gold.

Joana's 1 - 25 Bloodelf Leveling Guide

This is also a newly updated guide. Joana made this guide in response to TBC and It will help you level up your bloodelf to lvl 25 fast. After lvl 25 you can move over and begin using the standard 1 - 60 guide.

My look and feel on this one is that it's much the same as Joana's two other guides. Look on the screenshot below and you will see that it's pretty much alike.

I haven't used this guide because I don't like bloodelfs? (Dunno why?) But It looks very easy to follow and easy to understand. This guide has some videos as well. I have decided to add a video were Joana completes a very hard quest called "Vorsha the Lasher" at lvl 22. Take a look at the video below.

Another good video from Joana. A little minus is that he doesn't talk anything in his videos. He's just showing you how to do it.

Final Thoughts

My final thoughts about these three guides is that they are very well made. I like that Joana has taken the time to make good videos, because a video is much easier to understand than plain text.

A little minus is that Joana doesn't talk anything in his videos. I would have like to hear him explaining as he shows his secret spots and techniques. I would also like to know more about Joana. A picture or a bio. It would be fun.

What really matters is that joana's horde leveling guide delivers. When i'm creating a new horde character to level up, I always use this guide because it's the fastest way.

I give this guide a 4.5 out of 5. It would have gotten a 5 if Joana have talked more in his videos and added a real photo of himself.

This concludes my review of Joana's horde leveling guide. Go a head and check out my other wow leveling guide reviews.
